Epic SMP Season 3.77
The Epic SMP 3.77 is a part of a series of servers hosted by Kristy Fournier. This is the first and only in the numbered series of Epic SMP servers to have a decimal, and not to follow the Fibonaci sequence of numbering.

The earliest log is from 2022-07-13, which matches dates from discord messages and other proofs of origin of the server
World Files
The earliest file is from 2022-07-16, which lines up with when the first players joined. My guess for this is Katie or one of my other friends went exploring around, meaning chunks were generated, but they never changed anything in them, and they haven’t been re-explored and modified since then. All the spawn chunks from day 1 have been changed since, which is why the date seems off compared to when the server started.
History
Origins (2022-07-13 to 2022-07-16)
After being invited to a beach party by Breanna and agreeing to attend, on the day of the party (2022-07-10) in her car driving to the beach we started discussing calypso, and the fact that she had a season pass, as did I. The next day, (2022-07-11) I was at calypso with my parents, and saw Breanna and her group there. I decided to hang out with them for a while. We discussed how Bethany used to have a server, but never kept it. I said I could make a server and she said that would be fun, and would invite me to a discord with all of her friends who also played Minecraft. I made the server on 2022-07-13 and joined the discord, as well as whitelisting myself, Breanna, Bethany, Cara, and Izzy.
The Joining of Worlds (2022-07-16 to 2023-01-31)
On this date, I was playing on the Server when I received a call from one of my other friends (Katie, Brayden, Julie, etc.). I think it was Katie. She asked me to hop on a game and I said it would take me a minute. She asked what I was doing and I had a decision to make. Did I want to keep the server just for my new friends to play on, or should I invite my old friends too? I decided yes, I should, and told them about the Minecraft server. I later asked Breanna if I could invite them to the discord too, so it could be a combination of everyone on the Minecraft server, and she said yes. This small action would eventually lead to the death of the Crunchy Rocks discord.
The Death of Season 3.77 (2023-01-31 to 2023-06-08)
On this date Katie, Julie, and Breanna were in a call together on discord early in the day without me. I wondered what they were doing and why I was excluded. I was later texted by breanna saying to get on my computer. I had no idea what to expect. I got added to a discord group called “we need to talk” which despite its name was about making a new server. I didn’t want to make a new server, since I was under the belief that since nobody was playing the old one, nobody would play the new one. The others agreed to do a lot of stuff for me in exchange for creating a new server, and this led to the Epic SMP Season 5. I pretended to delete Epic SMP Season 3.77 to show its importance to me, but the point was not really gotten clearly by the others, or they just didn’t care about it at all.
Do we need a new server though? (2023-06-08 to unknown)
From 2023-06-08 to 2023-10-29 there are logs showing the server semi-active. This comes after the last logs for Season 5 were
NBT Destruction
I have no solid date for this, as I don’t know exactly when it happened, but at some point during updating the server, everything with NBT data that was loaded got erased. This includes chests in my tower and the book club, basically every placed sign, and some lecterns. I assume this was because of a spigot update at some point that messed with block data. I do not have a backup prior to NBT Destruction that I know of, so all of the data from the lost items on the server is gone forever.
The Revival and Reset (2024-07-23 to present)
The logs jump from 2023-10-29 to 2024-07-23, and my journals suggest I was playing Minecraft on the server during this time:
"Breanna came over today in the afternoon/evening and we wanted to play minecraft so she brought her laptop. We played for a bit downstairs, and i showed her around the new stuff i built" – 2024-07-29
The revival was something I decided to do myself. I was encouraged to play Minecraft again after being off school and not having much else to do. I also believe it was inspired by my building of an UnRaid Dedicated server using old pc components, since I could run the server on that instead of my PC (in theory). This never actually happened at this time, but it would later after the logs cut off at 2024-09-08 and come back on 2024-11-14, this was when my now permenant UnRaid setup was complete, and I had moved the server files to run on the UnRaid machine permenantly.
The “Revival and Reset” actually has a meaning in the game context. I took all my items I had, put them in a shulker, took all the contents of my ender chest, and put them in a hidden chest, in case I ever want or need to use them again. With none of my old items, I walked over 1000m south-west to find a new place to make a base, and ended up deciding on a mountain. I built my base on that mountain, and started new with everything. At this point none of my friends played Minecraft often or at all, so I was mostly playing by myself, it was really a single player world that happened to be hosted on another computer.
Present and Future
As of now season 3.77 is still hosted on my UnRaid, and I am still playing on it. Plans to defeat the ender dragon are in place for 2025-07-13, the 3 year anniversary of the server.
World
“Old Town” (2022-2024)
The surrounding area of spawn was where most of the players built and lived for the first part of the server’s life. The spawn hut, my original house, the chunk hole and book club, the tower, along with the bases of katie, Breanna, cara, and Bethany were all very close to spawn.
The chunk hole started as my project, basing off my same unfinished idea from season 1, but as Breanna eventually had the idea to build her book club at the bottom of the hole, katie ended up doing a lot of the digging work on that hole, along with me. Most of the cobblestone and deepslate that was dug out was repurposed into the tower.
The tower started as a side idea, after digging out so many blocks and not having much purpose with them, I decided to start building a tower. Because it was slightly smaller than a chunk, and was hollow inside rather than solid, in theory all of the blocks it is made of came directly from digging the hole. There were many floors In the tower, and a bubble elevator to take you to the top. I offered a floor to anybody who wanted one, and they were claimed with names on signs. Because of the “NBT Destruction” the names on these signs are now gone.
Breanna built her house on a very extreme floating island/hill that happened to generate near spawn. Cara’s house is on a connected piece, but is slightly smaller. This mountain is actually the icon for the server if you add it to the server list. I thought it looked really cool, having been the first server I fully played with 1.17 generation, so prior to Breanna building her house I turned on shaders and took a screenshot to use as our pack.png.
Breanna also had a therapy office, built out of wood near the tower. It was not used for anything besides decoration and some messing around as far as I can remember.
The ludo board was an idea that came to me from tiktoks, I saw others building game/ludo boards in Minecraft and I wanted to recreate the clubhouse games version in Minecraft. I am very happy with how It turned out, and I actually built most of it in survival, with the exception of the coloured concrete.
Post-Reset (2024-Present)
Most of my base is built on the top of a mountain. We have a storage system, along with a mob drop sorter and lava farm underground. The iron farm and trading hall are nearby, and with an elytra are easy to fly between.
For people just joining the server who don’t have an elytra yet, There is a rail network connecting Old Town to my base, along with the gold farm, breanna’s new base, and the trading hall all being a part of the rail network. There is also a nether rail network that connects some of these places to a witch farm and nether fortress.
