Ludo board

The Ludo board is a build on the Epic SMP 3.77 of a ludo game board entirely playable in Minecraft. It was constructed almost entirely in survival by Kristy, with some concrete spawned in.

The ludo board is a part of the railway network, and is connected to the "Ludo Board Station". You can reach the board through the rail network or by walking through a tunnel leading to the cobblestone tower in old town.

Appearance

Before entering the actual board both the rail and walking entrances open into a waiting room. There are 4 chests to be used as storage for player items as well as a furnace, crafting table, and an additional lost and found chest for items that are left in the storage chests after a game. Items in the lost and found chest are free for anyone to take. The storage chests are needed as the game is intended to be played with only food in player's inventories.

The board is a recreation of the version of ludo in Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics for Nintendo Switch, and has slightly differing rules from the majority of ludo boards. The board is divided into 4 parts with the player colours: red, blue, yellow, and magenta each getting a section of the board. The board is full covered with glass so it can easily be spectated by a camera or other players

The rolling system for the ludo board, using concrete and a random dropper

On the east wall is an expansion from the board with a set of 6 pieces of coloured concrete, with a stack of each in a dropper. Each colour is associated with a number, and the dropper is used as a replacement for a die, while still being random. The original version of this setup only had one of each colour of concrete, but made chaining 6's more difficult as you had to replace the concrete before rolling again.

Railway station

The railway station is in a separate room with a wood door connecting it to the waiting room. It has a chest intended for storing shovels and minecarts, a lodestone, and a hanging sign showing the current station's name. The room has a 2 block tall opening the railroad connects through, meaning it is not safe from mobs entering.

The rules are displayed in game on a book and quill placed in a lectern for access by multiple players at once.

Games played

Most of the games played on the board are livestreamed on the RadioactiveFox youtube channel by Kristy. These livestreams feature 2 cameras, a top-down view of the board, and a first person view of Kristy's perspective.

The first public game was played and streamed on 2022-07-21, and featured Julie, Katie, Kristy, and Zach as yellow, red, blue, and magenta respectively. The winner at the end was Julie, with Kristy coming in second place.

The second game was streamed on 2022-07-24, just 3 days later, and featured the same players as the first, but with Breanna instead of Julie. Colours were also changed with Breanna using magenta, Katie using blue, Kristy using red, and Zach using yellow. The game was streamed with the first person perspective of Kristy playing Minecraft in virtual reality using the Vivecraft mod. The final winner was Kristy, with Katie forfitting last near the end.

The third game was streamed the next day, on 2022-07-25.

The fourth game was streamed on 2023-01-26. This stream was formatted slightly differently with the top down angle being the smaller view, and the first person being the main centered view.
